Engineering for Life. Engineering for Success.
As an engineering student, my dream is to give the privilege of technology to all Filipinos in all walks of life, through working in the government. As a Filipino, I was brought up in an environment where you have a moral obligation to serve your country. I grew to love engineering. I wanted to build things. But the paradox of our times is that we have more degrees but less sense. The Philippines is one of the fastest growing economies in South East Asia, but more than half still lives in the dark. I dreamed of seeing kids have access to electricity, have the access to technology, and have the privilege to technology, so that they never stop learning, so that they may not live in the dark anymore. As a Filipino, this is my dream, this is our story. I may not be that special, but I am determined. Cedric G. Dela Cruz, BSEcE, Technological Institute of the Philippines - Quezon City
